Atlanta Motorcycle club Yahoo Group

We've added an AMC Yahoo Group to the club's arsenal of tricks for keeping us in touch with each other.  The AMC Yahoo Group provides two main tools that we anticipate using:

• An email reflector.  You send it an email & it broadcasts or reflects your email to the Group's members.  You do not have to keep track of club members' email addresses.
• An event calendar.  The calendar can be viewed by all of our members, and includes the ability to send email reminders of club events such as meetings, work days, and race days to all members.

Join now! We think you will find it handy.

Membership in our Yahoo Group -- atlmc -- is limited to Atlanta Motorcycle club members and others interested in our activities.  Bottom line, if you are interested in our activities you can join.  We limit membership to keep out spammers.

Here is a quick overview of how to get started:

• To join the group, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/atlmc/. 
  • Click on the "Join this Group" button (on the right side of the screen).  
  • If you are already a Yahoo Groups member, you will be asked to sign in and then be directed to our Yahoo Groups registration page;  if not, you will be asked to register for Yahoo Groups and then be directed to our registration page. 
  • When you get to our registration page, complete the requested information.
  • Yahoo will email your registration request to our group moderators (presently Freddy, Mark, and Bill C).  After we approve your membership, you will receive a note from the Yahoo Group telling you that you may use the group.
  • After your membership is approved, you will be able to log into the group page at any time.  From the page, you can view our calendar and messages sent through the reflector.
• Send email for group members to atlmc@yahoogroups.com.  It will be "reflected" to all members.  You will not receive a copy of your message (which drove me nuts the first time I used a reflector -- I kept resending the message thinking I would receive a copy of my own message.  You will not.)
• Reply to messages you receive from the group by hitting "reply" in your email reader, typing your response, and sending the email.
• To review archived copies of emails sent through the reflector or see our calendar, log into the AMC Yahoo Group web page (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/atlmc/) and select the "messages" or "calendar" link in the menu (on the left side of the page).
• If you wish to leave the group, log into the group web page at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/atlmc/.  From there, select the "Edit Membership" link beside your name in the page heading.
